John Daly Wines Assists Small Town Hospital - Monday, 16 May 2008
Massena, NY- On Friday, May 16th, the MassenaMemorial Hospital Foundation, in Massena, New York, held their 19th Annual Radio Telethon to benefit Massena Memorial Hospital. Over $48,000.00 was raised during the one day event.
The monies will be used to purchase much needed equipment forMassena Memorial Hospital’s Surgical Services/Operating Rooms.
One of the exciting new additions to this year’s event was a case of wine from John Daly Wines. “Each year I look for new and exciting items for our telethon. I was very fortunate to get in touch with Anthony Rodinis from John Daly Wines” stated Julianne Fowler, Event Coordinator. “And we are extremely grateful that he was sympathetic to our efforts.” Mr. Rodinis donated a case of John Daly’s “The Perfect Round”, valued at $300.00, and it had people talking for week’s prior to the event. In the end, however, the winning bidder turned out to be Massena Memorial Hospital’s own Chief Executive Office Charles F. Fahd II. “I have been collecting and sampling wines for many years” noted Mr. Fahd, “and I was thrilled to be able to add these six numbered bottles to my collection.” Mr. Fahd did then admit that he has opened and enjoyed one of the bottles since he made the purchase. “It was good. No let me take that back…it was more than good…it was an exceptional bottle of wine”, said Fahd.
The Massena Memorial Hospital Foundation is the sole fundraising source for Massena Memorial Hospital, a small, rural 50-bed hospital located on New York’s northern border with Canada.
